MMSC#47 Of Corset's Your Birthday

Here is my creation for this week's challenge. I am going to say I drummed up a bit of inspiration from Victoria Secret...can you tell!!! LOL Nothing like a Corset to offer us ladies some support in the derriere department. So, as you can tell, I am having a little fun with this one.The vintage picture on this particular card is made with the folded frame technique and embellished with lines of tiny pearls, mini roses, and the fan punch. I use a Martha Stewart Border Punch to create area that is laced up. I used the a spellbinders borderbilities for the lace on top. Rangers Tea Dye distress ink was sponged on all edges. This picture is a nice close up of all the details that I used to create this card. I just loved this Vintage Lady in her Corset. I layered her and used Crystal effects on the picture to make it look like a real glossy black and white photograph. The envelope is a kit from our very own Priscilla and can be found at her Priscillastyles Store. Priscilla is the sponsor for both this weeks challenge and the monthly challenge! I have to tell you I am hooked on making these envelopes now. I can't make a card now without doing the envelope. You will absolutely adore her kits. Here is the inside of my card. Lots more punches and details in here as well. Thanks for stopping by to view this card. I hope you have enjoyed coming and that you have found some inspiration to join us in the challenge. Your visit and comments are always appreciated!

Fred She Said Challenge #3 Think Spring

f
Hi everyone! It's time for the second (2) Fred She Said Challenge. Be sure to hop on over to the FRED SHE SAID CHALLENGE BLOG and join us for this fun challenge. You can enter you card there for a chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate to the Fred She Said Store.

For this months Challenge- In March we leave Old Man Winter behind so let's create a VERY SPRING-Y project, loaded with all those lovely pastel colors!

Here is mine!

This is called the Tulip Bouquet Digi. Isn't this the most awesome image you ever saw of tulips. I left my bouquet container white but traced the design in pink then shadowed the edges of the picture in blue. Over that I applied crystal effects to get it a nice porcelain look and effect.
You know I just love Rangers China Blue distress ink, so that is what you see around the edges. I uses a Martha Stewart around the page punch and a spellbinders oval die cut. I layered my image for a 3D effect. The blue rhinestone flourish is a Recollection from Micheal's.
I did some stitching with white thread around my card. I just stickles on the tulips and all the blue distressed areas. The blue ribbon is also from Micheal's. The background white paper has been embossed with a basket weave cuttlebug embossing folder.
This is the inside of my card. I used the tulip image from the Spring Flowers collection for the lower right hand corner on the bottom of the card. The more I look at this image, the more I love it.
This last picture features the card and the envelope that I made as a set. What an awesome presentation for a card presentation for someone special in your life. It is going to be hard for me to part with this one...LOL

Midnight Madness Challenge #46

This weeks Midnight Madness Entry has been made with the D' Amour Allure image from our sponsor called Sasha. She is all pretty under her parasol. As you can see, I have lots and lots of layers on this card. I have my three main image layers that I punched using the Martha Steward around the page punch. I cut my paper 3 x 5 for this. I also used the deep lace border punch and the sizzx corner dies on this. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a terrific day!

Here is my "Fred She Said" creation:

Thank you so much for allowing me to share with you my Fred She Said creation. This image is the new "Daffodil" digi. Don't you just love Daffodils. They are the first sign of spring when they show up in your garden. The bright yellow color just makes you smile and turn your face into the sun just like they do!!!Let me tell you a little bit about my card. It is called a "Folded Paper Frame" technique. You can find the directions here for this fun and very pretty way to display your images. By looking at this, you can see that I like to do lots of layers. So on top of my frame I cut apart a felt coaster that I found earlier this year in the $1 bin at Micheal's. They under that, I placed a fan from the Martha Stewart deep cut border punch-you can see they are repeated again under the loopy around the page punch.
The punches have been repeated again on the inside of the card with more daffodils. There is stickles on the yellow felt trim, as well as all the daffodils and the edge of the folded frame. The Spellbinders lattice pendant was used to frame the daffodil image on the inside of the card. The envelope is made from a 6 x 6 kit available at the Priscillastyles Store. Hope you have found some inspiration here to make one of these new Fred She Said designs for yourself!

Fred She Said Emma With Sign

Greetings, hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I am dreaming of spring and my cards are reflected the desire for warmer weather. This little number was made with a wonderful tree coloring book image I found on the internet and just printed on brown paper. This image is from the Fred She Said Store called Emma with Sign. Isn't she cute standing in the window. I created this window with the Spellbinders Label die and just cut it in half. The top part of the window is a Martha Stewart Punch-it's been layered three times. Here is a closeup of the layering. I have two layers of the Martha Stewart Fence Punch. I also used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the bottom part of this window.I used another Martha Stewart punch for the green leaves on the tree called the "frond" punch. The papers are from K & Company. The little flowers around the fence I got on clearance at Michael's last yearAll the flowers on the envelope and the inside of this card come on the sheet with Emma the Sign in three sizes. I colored, inked, and glue them together for dimension and used some stickles on them. The Emma here is actually her front and back-you get a front and back portion of Emma on your sheet. So I colored her and put her on a piece of acrylic so she can be used this way as a book mark.
I hope you enjoyed view this today and have been inspired to create something for spring! Just do a general search in your favorite search engine with the key words "Bare Tree Coloring Page" and you will be sure to find this tree. Thanks for stopping by.

MMSC#45 Brick Wall Rose

Greetings everyone. Today I made a Sympathy card for the Midnight Madness Sketch challenge. This is not one of those cards that you like to make too many of. A former co-worker of mine lost her Mom, so I made this to give to her. The stamp is from Inkadinkadoo. I used the Martha Stewart Deco around the page punch and the deep cut fan as well. My main colors are black and white and I sponged Rangers tea dye ink on everything. This is the inside of my card. I really loved doing this technique. I guess you can tell that as I did it on the outside as well as the inside of the card. Thanks for looking at my card and I hope to see you this week as I am making my rounds for commenting.

MMSC#44 Wags and Whiskers Bear Hug

Greetings bloggers. Spring has sprung in Georgia. We had a cold start this morning, but the temperature has reached 70 today. School is going good for me. I am amazed how much I am learning and want to learn. I do have to study though everyday. There are just so many medical terms....I have to do it in blocks to remember them all
Today's card for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge is a Wags and Whiskers Stamp called Bear Hugs provided to me by this week's sponsor Stamp and Create. I was thrilled to get this sweet little girl holding a bear. If you have been visiting my blog...then you know I love and collect bears. This is just darling. I paper pieced her dress and the bear.
Also, in the background you can see that I created an envelope. This is a 6 x 6 Priscillastyles kit that can be purchase here. If you are like me, and like to add lots of embellishments to your cards, then you need to get this kit. It makes a nice box style envelope to present your cards in so that you don't smash all that precious work you did!!!To create this card I stitched around the outer layers, used the Martha Stewart around the page punch, and the corners are a die from cuddlebug. On the inside the flowers are also a Martha Stewart punch. I kept this card pretty basic and this is the closest you will ever see me get to a Clean and Simple Card.....LOL

Fred She Said Emma with Chickadee

Good morning bloggers. I made this little card here for my Mom. It is made with the pre-colored Fred She Said Emma with Chickadee found here. Don't you just love this Emma image. She is really sweet holding the Chickadee.

I embossed the background paper which is that cardstock that has the different color core. I then sanded the emboss raised image. The Snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch. The little green sprig of shiny leaves is from the floral section in Michaels. I went bonkers during their after Christmas sale and got lots of little things like this for my cards marked down.

My Mom is doing better. I can tell her breathing is not as labored. Her medicine for just last week was $1100. She had a anti-biotic that cost $600. I don't know how Senior Citizens are going to keep up with the cost of health care. I need to find a job soon so I can help her out!!!
